External Payment Apps

Payment apps allow you to send, receive, or transfer money electronically using your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Many apps connect directly to your bank account or debit card for quick and secure transactions.  External payment apps like Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, and other mobile wallets can make it easier to send money, split expenses, and manage everyday payments right from your phone. While many of our members choose to connect their Greater Iowa Credit Union accounts to these services, it’s important to know that these apps are independent third-party providers and are not owned, operated, or endorsed by Greater Iowa Credit Union.

Because these platforms operate separately from GICU:

  • Features, fees, and transfer times may vary
  • App security settings are managed by the provider
  • Support for app-related issues may need to go directly through the payment app
  • Members should always review each app’s terms, privacy policies, and security practices before enrolling

We encourage members to use caution when sending money digitally and only transfer funds to people they know and trust.

Apple Pay, Google Wallet, and Samsung Wallet are third-party digital wallet providers. While Greater Iowa Credit Union supports eligible card connections within these platforms, wallet features, device compatibility, and app functionality are managed by their respective providers.
